Queue-Fair Awarded UK Government G-Cloud 15 Supplier Status

Virtual waiting room provider achieves maximum assessment marks across key technical, security and support criteria

London, UK: Queue-Fair, the original virtual waiting room for busy websites and apps, are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a framework contract in Lot 2b (SaaS) for UK Government G-Cloud 15 Supplier Framework.

Government Commercial Agency (formerly Crown Commercial Service), the government agency that operates the G-Cloud framework, supports the public sector to gain the greatest commercial value when buying common goods and services.

The award gives UK public-sector organisations a procurement route to Queue-Fair’s virtual waiting room technology, designed to help organisations manage exceptional and unpredictable demand for online services.

G-Cloud 15, reference RM1557.15, provides a framework through which public-sector organisations can procure cloud-based technology and services.

Maximum marks across key assessment criteria

As part of the G-Cloud 15 assessment process, Queue-Fair received the maximum available mark across each of the following assessed criteria:

  • Overall Quality - 100/100 and 20/20
  • Understanding Social Value — 100/100
  • User Support — 100/100
  • Asset Protection — 100/100
  • Penetration Testing — 100/100
  • Data Sanitisation — 100/100

The assessment results provide independent confirmation of the strength of Queue-Fair's offering across areas particularly relevant to public-sector technology procurement, including security, resilience, support and responsible delivery.

Protecting enterprise online services when demand surges

Public-sector websites and digital services can experience sudden and extreme increases in traffic. These can occur during the launch of new services, application windows, funding announcements, elections, major public announcements and other high-demand events.

Queue-Fair provides a virtual waiting room between users and an online service, allowing organisations to control the rate at which visitors enter the underlying application. We have many years experience keeping large-scale public sector enterprise services up and running during periods of high-demand, including queues of 6 million people in the queue at the same time.

Rather than allowing excessive demand to overwhelm a website or application, Queue-Fair enables users to join a fair and transparent queue and then access the service at a controlled rate.

This can help organisations maintain service availability and provide users with a predictable experience during periods of exceptional demand.

Matt King, inventor of the Virtual Waiting Room and creator of Queue-Fair, said:

«“We are delighted that Queue-Fair has been successful in G-Cloud 15, and particularly proud of the assessment results. Achieving the maximum available mark across social value, user support, asset protection, penetration testing and data sanitisation is a strong validation of the standards we have built into Queue-Fair.

“Public-sector organisations operate some of the most important online services in the country, and those services need to remain available precisely when demand is at its highest.

“Queue-Fair was created to solve the problem of extreme online demand without simply turning people away or allowing the underlying service to become overwhelmed. G-Cloud 15 gives public-sector organisations a straightforward procurement route to our technology, and we are excited about the opportunities this creates.”»

G-Cloud 15 award

Queue-Fair was successful in the following G-Cloud 15 lot:
